Phuthaditjhaba Care Centre – Alexandra
This NPO cares for 370 elderly in Alexandra. A number of them provide for their grandchildren. The majorities of these senior citizens live in such shocking conditions and barely survive.
Villa Gloria – Krugersdorp
This is generally referred to as the “white squatter camp” by the residents living in the vicinity in Krugersdorp. Once a week our representatives take food that caters for them for about 2 days.
Ikageng Community Home Based Care – Mumsieville
This charitable organisation feeds about 200 children and about 50 adults that are living in desperately poor conditions due to unemployment.
Children of Light – Ivory Park
This is a soup kitchen where we feed and provide other basic needs to about 60 children that are affected or orphaned through HIV/Aids in the age group of 1-16 from the informal settlement of Thembisa and Ivory Park.
Tswelopele Frail Care Centre – Cnr. Esslen and Bankets street, Hillbrow.
This centre is the home for about 93 people. Most of them get no government grants due to identification and other complications. They are South Africans.
Lulamani Day Care Centre – Ivory Park
This is a registered crèche and day care centre based in the informal settlement of Ivory Park. They have about 92 children with almost 30% of the children unable to pay the R120pm school fees due to the high unemployment rate.
Home of Hope – Berea
This NPO has about 40 girls and babies permanently residing at the shelter. They ensure that children are taken off the street and given an opportunity to get education and an improved quality of life.
Roodepoort Care of the Aged – Roodepoort
They aim to provide cost effective services to foster transformation and improve the quality of life of the aged in the West Rand.
